Evaluation of pro- and anti-inflammatory interleukins in the mammary gland of goats experimentally infected with Staphylococcus chromogenes

The aim of this work was to evaluate the relative gene expression levels cytokines IL- 1B, IL-8, IL-12, IFN-γ, IL-4, IL-10 and TGF-β in somatic milk cells French Alpine breed, anestrous goats that were experimentally infected left mammary gland with Staphylococcus chromogenes during lactation peak. Milk samples obtained from both glands for 21 consecutive days post infection. Total RNA extracted, real-time PCR conducted using primers specific each cytokine. evaluated determined by comparative method 2-ΔΔCT, right as a reference (control) glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) an endogenous control. According Wilcoxon test results, IL-1B IL-12 showed significant differences compared those control group (p⟨0.05) 24 hours infection until end lactation; on day three, IL1β, IL8, IL12 had statistically change respect (p⟨0.05); closer period, there is no overexpression anti-inflammatory interleukins (IL-4 TGF-β) which may reflect effort host immune system eradicate microorganism gland.
